Our popular Open Mic Sessions are held on the first Sunday of every month from 2-4pm
Sign up on the day, and you can perform your act with a full PA system, amplifiers and a drum kit if required.
All instruments and abilities are welcomed, which makes for a brilliant afternoon of entertainment.
The session is a free event, run voluntarily by Scott, who believes open mics play a vital role in a musicians skills development. From performing in front of an audience, meeting new, like-minded people and networking with peers, to jamming-out and having a great time. Get over those nerves and come along for a great afternoon, you don't even have to play to take part!
Refreshments are available with an honesty-box for donations. We are currently accepting donations to help towards insulating our building. We have previously raised money for local charities such as RNLI.
OPEN MIC SESSION TESTIMONIALS
Liz and Maggie (aka The Twa Grannies) have been coming to Red Rock Open Mic for at least a couple of years. Scott and Rebecca go out of their way to create a friendly supportive, encouraging environment where all are welcome to try out new material or get used to being in front of an audience. Scott and Rebecca are continually making improvements to their set up, whether it is adding special wall features, creating new rooms/entrance area or deciding where the important tea/coffee table will be. Their enthusiastic plans and creativity for the future are never ending. TTG wish them nothing but success in the future.
